Here’s Claude Vonstroke, the house and tech producer who grew up in Detroit, then moved to San Francisco, and at the age of 32 jumped into a career in the electronic dance music world. Born Barclay Crenshaw, he jokingly started his career as a DJ just 7 years ago when he played a friend’s birthday party in San Francisco, and since then he has blown up into an internationally recognized DJ and producer. Claude has started two record labels: dirtybird represents Claude’s classic funky tech sound, while mothership represents deeper techno.
Earlier this year, Claude released a compilation via his label dirtybird titled Dirtybird Hatched. The compilation is a testament to Claude’s signature big bass sound, and features music from colleagues of Claude’s such as Eats Everything, Sacha Robotti, Kingdom, and A1 Bassline. On May 8th, Claude released the monster Justin Martin’s banging new single “Don’t go” through his label dirtybird. Claude will be touring all through the US and Europe throughout the first half of this summer, and making his long-awaited HARD debut at HARD Summer in Downtown Los Angeles.
